Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you before briefing you about your exciting adventure ahead. Afterwards, begin your scenic drive towards Serengeti National Park, travelling through Arusha and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, take in Tanzania’s spectacular landscapes, traditional villages, and rolling highlands before entering the endless plains of the Serengeti.

Afternoon Game Drive

After enjoying lunch, embark on your first exciting game drive. As you explore the vast savannah, watch for lions resting beneath acacia trees, elephants crossing the plains, graceful giraffes browsing, zebras grazing in large herds, and numerous antelope species. Depending on the season, you may also witness thousands of wildebeest migrating across the plains.

Later in the evening, continue to your lodge or luxury tented camp where you can relax while enjoying dinner under the African sky.

Day 2: Full-Day Serengeti Safari and Maasai Village Experience

Sunrise Wildlife Adventure

After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of wildlife viewing in one of Africa’s greatest national parks. Early morning offers excellent opportunities to observe predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs before they retreat from the midday heat.

Throughout the day, your guide will drive through different habitats, including open grasslands, river valleys, and rocky kopjes where wildlife frequently gathers.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Morning Wildlife Viewing

Following breakfast, enjoy another rewarding morning game drive as you leave Serengeti National Park. Since wildlife remains highly active during the cooler morning hours, you have another opportunity to photograph predators, elephants, giraffes, and numerous plains game.

Scenic Transfer to Ngorongoro

Later, continue towards the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the journey, enjoy magnificent views of volcanic highlands, Maasai grazing lands, and the impressive crater rim.

Upon arrival, admire panoramic views over the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera before checking into your lodge.

Depending on your arrival time, enjoy wildlife viewing around the crater rim where buffaloes, elephants, zebras, and numerous bird species are frequently seen. Relax during the evening while preparing for tomorrow’s unforgettable crater adventure.

Day 4: Morning Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Return to Arusha

Explore the Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, often described as Africa’s Garden of Eden. Because the crater supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, every game drive offers remarkable viewing opportunities.

Look out for: Black rhinoceros, Lions, African elephants, Cape buffaloes, Hippos, Hyenas, Golden jackals, Wildebeest, Zebras, Flamingos, Secretary birds, Crowned cranes, Numerous bird species

Furthermore, the crater’s permanent water sources attract wildlife throughout the year, making it one of Tanzania’s finest safari destinations.

Return to Arusha

After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater, ascend the crater walls and begin your comfortable drive back to Arusha. Depending on your departure schedule, your guide will transfer you either to your hotel or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
