To protect both visitors and gorillas, participants must be at least 15 years old to take part in gorilla trekking.

Travel Documents:

Gorilla Permits:
Since gorilla trekking permits are highly sought after and limited in number, we strongly recommend reserving them well in advance. Furthermore, once purchased, gorilla permits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

What to Wear:
For a comfortable trekking experience, wear long-sleeved shirts, long trousers, and sturdy hiking boots. In addition, carry a lightweight rain jacket, as weather conditions in the rainforest can change unexpectedly. We also recommend bringing gardening gloves to protect your hands while navigating through dense vegetation.

Trekking Duration:
The duration of the trek varies depending on the location of the gorilla family on the day of your visit. As gorillas move through the forest in search of fresh food, water, and shelter, trekking can take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours.

Physical Fitness:
Although gorilla trekking is suitable for most travelers, it can be physically demanding. Therefore, participants should be in good health and possess a moderate level of fitness to comfortably navigate steep slopes, uneven terrain, and dense forest trails.

Photography Guidelines:
Photography is permitted; however, flash photography is strictly prohibited to avoid disturbing the gorillas. Therefore, please adjust your camera settings before approaching the gorilla family.
