Gorilla Trekking Safaris

When trekking mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest the day typically starts with a hearty breakfast to provide an energy boost for trekking through the jungle. Before setting off into the undergrowth in search of the few remaining mountain gorillas clients register at the game ranger station and one of the rangers gives a talk on mountain gorilla trekking.

Gorilla treks in Bwindi Forest are lead by trained safari guides who take you into the bush to track the rare mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking is challenging but rewarding and can take anything from 30 minutes to 5 hours, requiring a reasonable level of fitness and sturdy walking shoes.
