Day 2: Gorilla Trek and Visit to Iby’wacu Cultural Village
After an early breakfast, set out for the gorilla trekking adventure. Begin at the park headquarters, where you’ll receive a briefing on trekking guidelines and safety procedures from experienced park rangers. You’ll then be assigned to a gorilla family.
The trek through lush forest terrain and Once you encounter a gorilla family, you’ll spend an incredible hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat, watching them interact, play, and feed. This intimate experience is unforgettable.

Learn about Fossey’s extraordinary work in gorilla conservation and her dedication to protecting these endangered primates.
Afterwards, return to your lodge for a short rest before beginning your drive back to Kigali. Arriving in Kigali in the afternoon, where your guide will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
