Detailed Tour Itienrary

Day 1: Pick Up in Kigali – Scenic Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel or Kigali International Airport for a relaxed scenic drive through Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills towards the Uganda border.

Along the way, enjoy stunning countryside landscapes, local communities, and optional stops for photography or refreshments. After border formalities, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Ugandan home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Depending on your preferred comfort level, accommodation can be arranged in budget, midrange, luxury, or upmarket lodges located close to the trekking sectors for easier access. This is between 4 and 5 hours’ drive. Dinner and Overnight Stay at;

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Visit to Batwa Pygmies and Relaxation

After an early breakfast, transfer a short distance to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

For senior guests, Gorilla Safari Consultants can request more accessible gorilla families with shorter hiking distances whenever available. Porters and sedan chairs (optional and at extra cost) are also available for additional support if needed.

The trek may take between 1–5 hours depending on gorilla movements, but the extraordinary moment of meeting a mountain gorilla family in the wild is truly unforgettable. Spend one magical hour observing the gorillas as they feed, interact, and care for their young.
